Have you tried the agents? Suz are generally quite good with old parts.

12111-37401 PISTON (STD)

12140-37430 RING SET, PISTON (STD)

From the agents, both standard piston and standard bore rings are still available. same as circlips & gudgeon pins.
1st oversize only pistons no rings, 2nd oversize neither pistons nor rings.

Now please don't tell me the agents take too long because they don't have 30 year old piston rings on the shelf and have to order from the factory in Japan or they are too expensive.

Thanks guys I am also looking for a piston set oversize for the DR 500 X i am building .
Le Cap do have piston size for the 500 I need to measure to check where the bore is at the moment, did you see the cam in my garage rebuild pics it seems like it is beyond roller cam conversion totally faarked. The seal on top of the one head bolt failed or was put in wrong & oil pissed out but must have been running for a long time with oil problem. Eish I cant beleive? I also want to work the cam & head on this motor if you have any suggestions please advise.
Smarty pants post some pics of your DR where do you stay we can have brain storm on parts
cheers
DR BIG

Buy std. size piston & resleeve cylinder.
See above no more oversize pistons with rings.

Get the head fixed first that sounds as if it's the bigger problem.

I think the head is us will look for new one (2nd hand ) or another scoot they are cheap enough , i was told a roller conversion is pricy last one I did was in 82 I think the price might have changed somewhat here is what it looks like

I have been following another Honda thread they talk about some Chev piston (a staight 6 engine)with similar dimensions to the XL 500 piston so I am looking to see if there is something similar to a DR piston ? have you ever heard of that
