WC Dogs! I am travelling to Paarl this weekend and would like to know if this is worth the while? Has anybody tried it?  ??? ???

I'm sure it is...any trip suiping wine will have a happy outcome if not driving! ;D

I was there on the weekend, the tram ticket stall was manned by 2 people so I hung around for an hour waiting for the tram but did'nt see it. I was far too lazy to enquire as we had just stuffed ourselves at a resturant next door.

Sounds like a really good idea but there was no information up regarding where it went, price, how long, route etc.

next time I am there I will ask more about it.

The new open-air tram-bus has been added to the service which extends the number of stops on the tour from 2 to 6 (2 via tram and 4 via tram-bus). The stops now included on the hop-on hop-off tour are Rickety Bridge, Grande Provence , Chamonix, Dieu Donne, Haute Cabriere and the Huguenot Museum.

 



 



 

Ticket Price:  Ticket Type   Price

  Adult   R130.00

  Child (5 – 17 years of age)   R65.00

  Child (1 – 4 years of age)   No Charge

 


Ticket Information:Tickets can be purchased either online or at the Franschhoek Wine Tram ticket office in the Franschhoek Village

Adult ticket price includes the following complimentary activities:

Wine tasting at Rickety Bridge

Wine tasting at Dieu Donne

Welcome drink at Haute Cabrière

A limited number of tickets are available each day so early booking is advisable

Tickets are valid for departure any time between 10.00 am and 2.30 pm on the day of travel

Tickets are only valid for the date specified on the ticket

 

Day of Travel:The tour boards at the Franschhoek Wine Tram ticket office located on the main road in the Franschhoek Village

The tour departs every 45 minuters between 10.00 am and 2.30 pm

Please check-in at the ticket office at least 10 minutes before departure

The tour operates on a first-come first-served basis and on the rare occasion, passengers may be required to wait for the next tram or tram-bus

Parking is available within walking distance of the ticket office

If passengers wish to dine while on the tour, it is advisable to make lunch reservations at least 24 hours before the day of travel with one of the restaurants on the tour

Comfortable walking shoes, hat, sunglasses and sun protection cream are recommended
