My rear suspension "creaks" when I get in the bike - I suspect the bearings/bushes on doggy bones are dry - is there any special thing to do but strip and grease?
Would appreciate advice.

I suspect you are wrong on the doggy bones.
Better chance that the bearing on the swingarm are shot. Not just dry. Buggered. Better take the lot apart and take a look.

Thanks - will strip

Could also be the bearing seals (rubber) that are dry... after washing, I spray a bit of silicone lube on mine.... so far no creaking. :thumleft:

Thanks - appreciate the advice - will try before stripping

You will probably need a new set of needle bearings and seals.

I believe they're not too difficult to fit. Just make sur the bike's properly supported, 'cos things fall apart once you remove the shock! :3some:

Just support the swing arm with a tie down or a piece of rope.
