Title: A Ride most Father's would Dream of
Post by: Gérrard on February 12, 2014, 09:43:34 pm
We have a French exchange student staying with us for a few weeks. They have this thing of taking a gap year during school. Her younger brother has taken a year off, and with his father, they are touring Europe in a Ural. Now ain't that just great. You can have a look at their website http://zacoliv.fr/index.php (http://zacoliv.fr/index.php)  Great pics (which is all I can understand).

I've been browsing through some of the foto albums of the trip. Its arranged by country and really worth a look. The young boy Zac, who is 10 years old, is having the ride of a lifetime.

Family pic. Thats her second from the left at the back.

Mad about biking and insisted I take her to school on the bike in the mornings. Also took her on a long day ride to show her around. Her and her father are already planning a tour in a year or so with Lyn and I through south Africa.

That is  an awesome trip for father and son. One of the few "What I did on my holidays" essays that wouldn't bore me to tears.

The beauty is the laaitie does not miss his year at school. He is enrolled virtually, does his school work on the net everyday, sometimes interactive with the class, and writes all his tests and exams.

Eish ! Civilaisation !
