Title: LC/LCA Rotational handlebar raisers now in stock at Flying Brick
Post by: zebra - Flying Brick on June 12, 2014, 03:03:12 pm
Hi

The BMW 1200 LC and BMW 1200 LCA (K50 & K51 respectively) have thicker handlebars than their predecessors, so Rox-style raisers were not fitting.

We have just had 5 sets of rotational risers manufactured from BILLET Aluminium (polished), for the 1200 LC and 1200 LCA.
They retail for R859 per set.
Pictures attached.
Cheers

Any chance of making non-rotational risers, to a maximum of 20mm?

I've been shopping around, and the Wild @ Heart 20mm risers from the Adventure bike shop in Van Riebeeck Rd, Edenvale are MORE expensive than the Wunderlich equivalents from Cytech in Robertsham!   :eek7:

Crazy, but true.

We have stock on 15mm and 30mm at R820,00 per set.

Quick newby question....are any of the raisers a simple DIY bolt on exercise?

yes!

As always, just check your cables do not 'pull tight' on full left lock and full right lock, EVEN IF your bike is fly-by-wire. waddah waddah, just CHECK!

Thanx Chris, hence my question,I need to know this will not happen before I buy...don't want to buy and find out it needs longer cables etc...

It's always a possibility with rotational risers - as the man says, check.  :)
Always good to experiment with the bars in a few different positions in any case. Front, back, upright, slight tilt on the bars. That way, you'll know every wrinkle the different positions can throw.
