Title: Good deal on a SuperTen?
Post by: iamgigglz on July 24, 2014, 02:02:16 pm
AutoTrader (http://bikes.autotrader.co.za/used-motorcycles/yamaha/xt/2010-yamaha-xt-1200.0cc-pretoria-bfpa-8a8184de46f22053014739485a870b60)

Pillion couch, extra luggage and huoooge screen make me think long distance touring with swambo = treated gently.

First Edition so belly plate and Alu luggage = win.

R100k isn't an amazing deal, but well priced I reckon. Or not?

Not bad if all the extras are included

MAN it's tempting. I'm keen on something for the long road, and the latest finance statement on my 'Alp had a smaller outstanding balance than I was expecting.

In all seriousness the only thing stopping me from picking up the phone is the thought of saying goodbye to the Transalp.  :'(

Just tall enough for you then  :thumleft:

:lol8: Yeah that thing is ridiculous. BUT it makes me think an old softie was riding it before, which is a good thing.

Gigglez....why not finish paying of the Transalp then look for something for touring?

Then you have 2 bikes  :thumleft:

Yeah that bike has not been offroad much. One drop and that screen is toast.

Looks pretty clean.

I need the deposit on the new purchase  :deal: We just bought a new car; can't afford to buy a second bike.

If I got what I'm expecting for the 'Alp, settled the finance and used the rest as a deposit then my monthly payments on a R100k bike would be the same as I'm paying now.
