Title: dr650 mods

Hi all

Looking for advice and ideas re further mods to my pony

I've already:
fitted an airage exhaust
fitted hand guards
removed the snorkel
removed the upper roller
welded a rack
ground header weld

To do:

chain replacement
sprocket change (14t)

Tinkering with the idea... I'm learning my new mig welder and may try building one. Importing will cost me around R1000!

Any ideas on local suppliers? I've had no success so far.

I hope you are planning to add a jet kit to the carb or have it dyno tuned to make sure the carb is set up correctly to fuel the motor.

The exhaust and intake upgrade you did has sure made that bike run lean and if you leave it like that , you will damage the motor.

You still on the stock seat?
To me thats the most important mod.
Options are order a Corbin, get a sheepskin (looks like sh1t) or inflatable cushion. I have the sheepskin but thinking of the inflatable cushion (about R800). The Corbin seat is silly money.
