Bliksem boet!

My advice is to get to an oto-elec real quick and get him to help ya fix that thing! And keep looking for a new one!

Keep me in the loop how it goes, I will see what I can do to find another one for you (outside chance)..

Eddie, will a stator and cover from a WR250 fit?

I've got a mate who's got 2 idle bikes in his garage, I can ask him if need be.

Thing was in this week. Re wired the works
Standard stator apparently does not give enough wattage.
Will have to grab one if I do not come right

standard stator should be ok  - just put a switch in-line that cuts the headlight when using the other stuff

RS do you have a carb WR? If so, I had to go through the same upgrade. Cutting the headlight will not make a difference as that circuit runs on AC.
I had my stator redone to push all to DC and battery, with a bigger Reg.
PM me, I have the instructions for you.

If you have the EFI WR then you should not have any issues...

Been at work all day
You are 100 present correct
Same as what Dani has been telling me all day
Blew the second reg this afternoon trying to push the re wired stator a bit further
Will not maintain a charge with lights etc running.
Roadbook pulls 4.5 amps every time you scroll
Gary that unit from the us seems to be the thing, only too late to order now

Pm sent

The standard stator only puts 30W DC to the battery. The balance is going to an AC headlight circuit that you don't need...
therefore 30W cannot run everything.

Title: Re: WR 450 stator- and tanks
Post by: Rolling Stone on December 28, 2014, 11:30:50 am
Ok time to start again
does anyone have one of those imported stator and Reg kits that well fit a 2007 WR, before I. place the order.
Also looking for bigger tank option
as far as I know I will need  the 10 liter rear tank from Safari as well as new zorst and header to fit with the tank.
Have 13 liter on the front, but will prefer 15 liter
