Title: ABS Dongle for '14 690
Post by: ktmpilot on November 30, 2014, 01:16:43 pm
I read on the net about the ABS dongle for the 2014 690 which enables an off-road mode where the ABS is only on the front brake and the back brake can be locked up if the rider wants to.

Does anyone have any experience with this in SA, is it recommended and if so where can it be fitted locally and what is the cost?

It costs around R1000 from any KTM dealer (690's is the same as the dongle for the 1190, I've got one in each) and takes 10 seconds to install - lift of the seat, remove dummy plug, plug in dongle, squeeze rubber mount over existing tab - start bike and do rear wheel slides to your heart's desire. :thumleft:
