Title: fuel overflow on 640?
Post by: wobble07 on January 11, 2015, 03:52:43 pm
Hey guys. This might be a stupid question?
Must you close the fuel tap on a 640 after every ride? ( never done it on my 990)
I noticed afer the last two rides fuel on the floor a day after. Never happened previously.

Thanks.

640 = carb, 990 = EFI, close the tap

Thanks but did not previously have to close it.Had other bikes before with carbs and no issues with closing fuel taps.

Then you going to have to close both, both mine leaked but they were pretty old so I replaced them and since then not a drop. They are pretty costly though. Small one was R274 and the big one R560
