Title: 1200 GSA Diff Heat
Post by: On The Move on March 21, 2015, 03:35:15 pm
I've just bought a 2014 1200 GSA and did a trip through Lesotho on my own. In at WitsiesHoek and out at Rama's Gate. What an awesome ride. However, going back home on the tar I just happened to decided to feel the rear diff at the rear axle and noted it was hot to the touch. Is this ok? There are no issues at all. Has anyone else felt this.

I never felt my bike's final drive (there is no differential in there) and can't say for sure,  but I would be very surprised if it wasn't warm to the touch.   Lots of moving parts will generate some heat.
