Title: Rims: which, where and how much..?
Post by: Rooi Wolf on September 27, 2015, 09:36:15 am
In changing out my tyres recently I discoverred that both my rims have got some bad ass corrosion patches on the insides. Pitting the metal quite severely in some areas. Apart from the weakenning effect on the rim structure, I strongly suspect this to be responsible for a front puncture I had.

Coupled with some small dings in them, I reckon it is time for a new set.

What rims would you ouens recommend?

Where to source them from?

And off course what would a ballpark figure be that I've got to budget for?

I just bought a new front rim for the 650R, got an Excel Takasago for R1350.

Seems very nice, hope it is as hard as the DID that i am replacing it with.

Speak to Superfoxi, he can supply you.

I received an order of rims and spokes last week from Superfoxi.  Various cost options that will not break the bank. Speak to him...
