Sadly fellow rider Peter Boardman lost his life on route home to Muizenberg last night.
I don't know the details yet but I believe he had spent the night at the Barleycorn Club and lost controll of his bike. i don't think Peter was a WD member but most guys would remember the Angolan trip he did with Bezerker & 2stroke Dan (Los Trios).
Peter was a true maverick and adventurer.
RIP my friend.

Peter was a tremendously alive individual, an avid reader and one of the most interesting people I knew, with a contagious zest for life. I will miss Peter, and we
will never forget him.
I believe that he was a Wilddog member, "Watkykjy", if I am correct.
Like Berzerker said this morning, where others would almost cry you'd have Peter laughing.
Rest in peace my friend, from both me and Sara.

May your friend rest in peace. Sorry to hear about his death. Strongs buddy.
-
Had to go and take a look at the Angola RR again now.
RIP Peter

As someone who works with Peter I was rather shocked to arrive at work today to hear that he is no longer with us.
I'm feeling rather affected by his passing as he is someone that I often spoke with here at work and it is hard to accept that I won't see him again.
R.I.P My friend

RIP Peter

One realizes life is short when you read something like this.
Seems like someone who lived life while he was here.
RIP Peter.
Condolences to all that knew him.

This is so sad! He had a real adventure spirit.
We did an epic trip together, up Van Zyl's pass. Peter would never let an opportunity to discover something go by.

Ol' Boardmember was a truly unique individual. I paddled/worked/biked/drank with him and will miss his naughty smile as he walks up to you with "daai hupple in sy stappie" and a new dodgy story to tell. His unconventional ways and searching intelligence rubbed off on me. What a friend. What a legend. In peace my friend.
-
RIP, this has indeed been a bad couple of weeks.

If alcohol had a role to play in his accident - lets remember that as much as we love both they just don't mix.
