F800GS. I suppose they focus on new bikes. Seeing as my AT is my all round favourite, and in the same class, its not far off

Recommended for me:  Suzuki DR650SE

Me too, and I also ride a X-Challenge.
Close enough.
Before choosing the XC I did my own comparison between various DS bikes. Factors I considered which weren't in this tool were:
 - fuel range
 - EFI vs carb
 - ABS (though not many people would agree with me)
 - happy button (too lazy to kick)
 - brakes (ços I don't like old bikes with drums)
 - weight
New bikes are (I think) all EFI and disk brake, so those can be ignored. Fuel range, happy button and weight remain kinda important though  ???

I got the Husqvarna TR650 Terra
Funny as I really considered it as well...got the BMW XChallenge instead. Pretty similar bikes. Terra is just heavier.

I think a few people here are lying to themselves what bike they need     :deal:   :peepwall:

Would probably have been right, but that's not the answer they gave!

Actually I suppose a KLR could be considered a "one size fits all" response in honest practical terms ignoring individuals ego's and prejudices.  :peepwall:

Nee ek stem.

I was recommended the KLR.

I suppose that the site doesn't have old bikes like my 1981 XL500S on it  :ricky:

What band should you be in".

Not a bad quiz, I really don't think they missed the point too badly, but I'm happy with my 690 :D

Well, the bastards called me short because I'm less than 1.8m tall.

So, if I say I'm short it says I should have a DR650. When I lie and say I'm tall it suggests a 800gs which is what I have, so I suppose that is about right. Can't put both feet on the ground and it doesn't bother me one bit.
