Title: Offroad bike question
Post by: Manic on September 11, 2016, 09:25:04 pm
I see most plastic bikes, offroad bikes, have that strap across the seat at the back. That works like a handle to pick bike up or move the rear around

Do you buy them and where?

Or do the okes make them at home?

You do not need that on the CRF150F, it only weighs 75kg's. You just pick the whole bike up by the handlebar. :pot:

Ok Tjom
Let me go through this step by step...

First you find the spanner that fits the nut on the sidestand you wanna mount. More than likely a 13
Then you locate the place you want to put the sidestand. Normally it goes on the left side of the bike, right near the foot peg.

Undo said bolt. Thread it through the sidestand top. Make sure it goes through the hole though. Easy to fuck this part up., so be careful here.

Tighten the bolt holding the sidestand to the bike and there you have it

Easy hey

Phone me if you have shit.

PS

Do not hold it between your legs though

Manic, go to the Moto hut website:

Under the Body tab, you will find:

- Nets and straps, Gas Junky 25mm seat strap for R40
- Sidestands

Place your order or give Glen a call and he delivers to your door.  :thumleft:

It also helps to tie a rope around the front forks.....in case someone needs to pull you up the side of a mountain or out of the mud.... :thumleft:

Made the front and back straps on my WR from pieces of an old ratchet tie down strap.

Even when the strap is damaged you will always have pieces of it long enough in perfect condition.

Been using them on the WR for 5 years now.

They are very handy to have.
