Post by: COLY-07 on September 02, 2017, 10:48:54 am
Hi All

So i have been reading up a bit on the 690's and i recently bought myself one.
I would like to know if anyone has a bash-plate and luggage rack lying around they would like to get rid of?

My last question is to what is the best mods to do on  this bike?
new sub frame bolts sounds like a must do?

TIA

I have a set of complete Perun Moto tank bolts available if you're interested - R1250 brand new

Airhawk will make the longer miles bearable
Upgrade the lights to something better like LED
Extended wind screen
Depending on what you plan on riding, a steering damper and long range safari tank are a good idea.

You pretty much sorted I would say.
If you travel with luggage on the back the bolt upgrade is a good idea, check to see if it has a foam air filter installed, and if it's still in good shape (always grease the sealing edge of the filter to seal it properly) Definitely consider something for the seat (the seat pan is prone to braking as well). I run Tubliss with tyre shield which is great, or make sure you have the heavy duty tubes in. A USB charger and hella plug is also a good idea, there are two power points at the front of the bike which you could use (or tap into the power of the rally tower)
