Title: XT 600 pricing
Post by: Suikerland on January 08, 2018, 06:25:00 pm
Just looking for some guidance on a fair price for an XT600 E, to anyone who knows the market...
These bikes are difficult to value because so few of them are sold nowadays. And checking old ads gives an idea of what was asked, not what was paid.

So, it's a 2003, around 35,000 k's. Bike is absolutely clean, runs very smooth, no sign of abuse. Completely stock (even orginal stickers on plastics) except for a screen, hand guards, and some pannier brackets. And aftermarket muffler I think.  Needs a new back tyre soon but other than that, everything is in very good condition.
Seller will probably make a deal at 30,000. Maybe 29 at a squeeze. Does that sound reasonable?
(Seller isn't on this forum so it's safe to comment :) )

At 30 to 29 it had to be very well looked after and have done no to little dirt.

Well ooked after / little dirt - I'm guessing both are true.
So it would be an ok deal but no bargain.
