Title: Lesotho License Requirements
Post by: stan1975 on October 03, 2018, 05:14:02 pm
Hi Dogs,

Not really sure if this is the right board to post on. But we're planning a trip through Lesotho at the end of the month and need to if the local authorities will accept a learners license?

Let me know,
Thanks

Correct answer is no but I don't think anyone in charge has ever noticed. Bet you will find your insurance will use it as an excuse to weasel out of liability if you have a claim there though.

SA learners license is only valid within the borders of SA.

Stan,

if you need routes and acomodation info,  contact me and I will gladly send you the info or even suggest a route according to your needs.

The licence is not a big issue, go and enjoy Lesotho.

You can visit this thread of mine concerning general info on Lesotho including, fuel points, accommodation and routes:

It is but I know the farmer very well he is one of my customers, any time you want to head up there let me know and I will make the necessary arrangements. If you’re keen to join us on the trip we’d love an extra set of hands especially for Ongeluksnek as it seems as though it will only be two bike doing that route to Lady Grey at this stage.

stan1975 you probably have a great route planned,  however Losper knows the place quite well. I have never met him, but he did give us some good advice when we went up this year.
