Title: 701 clutch slave cylinder
Post by: emperor zog on April 07, 2019, 04:37:57 pm
Hi everyone, the clutch slave cylinder on my 701 Enduro seems to have packed up. Have read of that happening fairly often on the 701 facebook site. Does anyone know where I can source either a Recluse or Oberon replacement locally? Thanks

I bought Oberon from them directly in the UK

Bought on Tuesday received on Friday. I bought 3 sold 2 locally to help split the cost of courier free etc.
Worked out cheaper.

No local importers as far as I know. You will need to buy directly from Oberon in the UK. While you wait you can fit the epdm o ring where the original one failed in the slave. 22mm ID and 2.5mm thick.

OK got my Oberon eventually, lots of hassles with customs for some reason and Fedex weren't particularly efficient, and of course I had to pay R485 import duty. Anyway got it, work of art. Fitted, works like a dream. I am going to be in the UK from mid July to mid August so if anyone on the group wants me to get something form Oberon you can order it and I'll give you an address to have it sent to in the UK and I'll bring it back. Cheers.

From the 701 Facebook group.  Apparently EPDM is the correct material.  O-ring (ID x cross,mm) 22 x 2,5 DIN 3770, EU origin, variable pack, material

OK now that I've dealt with the clutch problem, when can I expect the fuel pump to pack in? Bike on 6500Knms

KTM Centurion remarked to me to put only 91 petrol in, for reason "95 clogs the filter"!
I asked if at the coast 95 could be used, answer was in the affirmative.
