Mooi scooter daai Manic.

Vir lang termyn sal ek voorstel eerder 'n 150cc - 200cc. Dit is nou Japanees. Sou jy Chinees koop, sit 'n ekstra 100cc by.

Eks mal oor hoe prakties scooters is. Pasasier is gemaklik.

Try and go see Jeremy Pincus (Mr PRD). He showed me his two stroke scooter. Is wheelies just off the throttle. No pulling required.

Mate of mine bought a 2t scoot (180 gilera) that Mr Pincus had set up for racing. Absolutely savage - sounds like a Grand Prix 125......and prob goes like one too. He clearly knows his way around 2t tuning!

If Manic bought that one in the pic on Signal Hill in CT, I know the bike. There's a few older guys that run them - it would have to be a superbiker with massive cahoonas and skill that could be faster than them over Franschoek pass, or Ou Kaapse weg.

I commute wind or shine 70km a day 2-up with the missus on a Vespa 300. With ABS and Traction Control it feels infinitely safer than my XTZ (just threw that in so you all know I have more than just wind in my vagina) for commuting. Can easily cruise 120-130 but would just like a bit more top end. Have been thinking about the BMW 400 or T-Max but since the wife also uses it am a bit worried about the weight. The Vespa is not light but carries its weight of 148kg pretty low. Does anyone have any comments on how heavy the t-max feels because its weight of 213kg makes it a bit of a fat fuck! The BMW C400X is not much better at 204kg. I mean lets be honest, thats not much less than a 1200GS!!!

It feels like a bus compared to a Vespa or other lightweight scoots. Looking at your commute distance though.......it would prob be a more effective option that the Vespa. Not sure about filtering though - I'm also used to vespa size, and as mentioned, the maxi scoots / tmax is a whale by comparison.

Scooters are fun to ride, i used to work in Mauritius quite a bit and it was the only way to get around Port Louis without losing your mind, was also a lot of fun cruising up and down the coast. Riding a scooter is freeing in a way, I guess it boils down to not having the stigma of a serious biker attached to you but still having a jol.
