Title: 1190 Menu/Turn signal
Post by: GoudGeel on August 04, 2019, 12:28:45 pm
Hi,

Not sure if this is something that is faulty, or a setting that I changed by mistake, but when I use the turn signal switch to turn left, it cycles thru the menu. Also, when I press the “down” button to cycle the menu, the left turn signal turns on.

Yeah that sounds like an electrical issue somewhere.

I agree, doesn't sound like software - problem with the wiring in left handlebar

Update;

I checked all of the wires running from the switch, and could not find any sign of damage or wires shorting. As a last resort, I started going thru the menu to make sure that there was no setting that caused this problem, and the funny thing is that while the indicator turned on during the pressing of the menu down button, I pressed the set button while in the favourites menu (the way you would setup your favourites), and all of a sudden this problem has gone away. I turned the ignition on and off a couple of times to make sure the problem is still gone. Even after a short bumpy and technical ride, the issue did not come back.
