Hi
I picked up a CRF 1000 with a bent subframe, damaged exhaust, right radiator shroud damaged and probably a damaged rim
Any advice or suggestions ? Honda Cape Town quoted R224 000 to repair . I own a number of bikes and intend to build a rally styled bike - any comments , suggestions. This will be a special bike , it will join the Vintage Factory Cape Town collection when done. See Vintage Factory Cape Town on Facebook
All suggestions re options and sourcing greatly appreciated

A new 1100 is R210k so R224k to repair is crazy

Had a look a Vintage Factory on Facebook, quite a collection!

Update - first bit of good news - frame straightened. - very happy with outcome
Seemingly all doable to have bike running before month end
-
Now starts the weight saving process?

Following with interest... :sip:

1st thing I would do is dump that std zorst.. that's going to save you more than a few Kg's, anything emissions related can go.

Yes please,
From 990R to GSA LC to 1290 so next up probably an AT. . . .
Anyway I spotted this a while ago before buying the 1290 which could probably send you in the right direction:
