Title: 2020 / 2021 GXCC / Inland MX Racing
Post by: Serf on January 26, 2020, 09:47:40 am
Not much on the forum about MX racing so let me put on a few pics.

My son did his first MX race yesterday at Erora, riding in the Enduro class. Finished first in both Motos.

Next weekend first GXCC offroad for 2020 which is what he prefers more.

He is practicing a lot more on MX tracks as it helps so much with the fitness. Still very scary for me to watch him riding.

Anyone else riding GXCC this year?

My son rides in OR 3 Pro for CIT Husqvarna and finished 5th yesterday. Supper happy because there is a lot of very fast riders in that category.

First race in Feb did not went as planned as he fell an injured his wrist.

You are very fortunate to stay on a farm - I cannot wait to get back on the bike again. Tomorrow would have been our 4th GXCC for the year, but now the 2nd one not racing due to this lockdown - I wonder if we will get to race again at all this year?

MSA sent out a circular earlier in the week, estimating that regional races may be able to resume towards the end of july.
Lets hold thumbs

Will really be great to go to racing tracks and races again. The risk of exposure there is much lower than in a shop or more crowded spaces.

Two overall 2nd places at the last two Inland mx races in the support class is more than what we bargained for. Especially with him racing an offroad bike in mx. This past weekend was a muddy affair and coming up is the last GXCC race for the year. Currently lying in 5th place in OR3 and we are also very proud as that is really a fast class.

With the next GXCC race this Saturday at Delmas, and the recent ranis, it will be wet and muddy. Just tell your son not to use me as traction when he passes me in the mud.  :lol8:

Yesterday the 2021 Inland mx season started at Dirt Bronco

After all the rain over the past week it was one muddy afair. Credit must go to the organisers who managed to get the track prepaired well, but rain during the day made that they had to cancel the 2nd heat for all the classes.

We are still waiting for the final results - not sure if their equipment got wet which was very likely with the rain pouring down.

My son came 2nd in the Support class which we are extremely happy with. He crashed once, sending him into the grasses and after that it was easy to spot him with the camoflage on his head.

GXCC in 2 weeks at Rusternburg.

To those that race, enjoy the season and may all the riders be blessed, stay healthy and without any injuries(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210131/009a702b687761a2abf3dacdd8fabe44.jpg)(http://Sent from my SM-A315F using Tapatalk[IMG]https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210131/47dd8ed831c35b743d7dd85b0489b4f3.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210131/b4190bfc7fde56e4bdad1474a3fa7559.jpg)

Do they ever hold events at the track near Mall of the South?
