Somewhere a controller is not transmitting data correctly or is failing.. A bus will go to a "bus off" state if a specific controller in the network generates to many errors ..
From what I've read a bus off error is normally proceeded by other errors, is there any other errors? has something happened recently? :patch:
Also try searching for "CD845F CAN, node A, Fahrzeug-CAN, BusOff fault" (Fahrzeug = German for Vehicle)
Interesting reading :

Good Luck :thumleft:

Quinten,
After I ran the diagnostics again, I got this. your process would suggest that the gear selector sensor and shift level sensors are not talking to the controller.
XBMSO1
Motorcycle VIN: WB10A5104HZ621898
3A1183: Gear selector sensor, incomplete adaptation for gear shift assist The fault is currently present.
This problem occurred once.

Clear all the fault codes. Then reset the adaptations. Take the bike for a ride and rerun the Autoscan.
It would appear that the adaptations failed as there was still an active fault in the system.

Thanks for that, however, the errors were constantly present an could not be cleared. Bavarian BMW sorted it out for me with their super uber computer...
