Title: SBBH haulage...
Post by: DaveT on July 03, 2020, 09:44:15 am
Gents I am starting a new thread as I want to warn you to avoid dealings with the mentioned company and the individual Brandon Doyle.

I bought a new bike in Nelspruit that was collected a week ago (Friday). The bike needs to be delivered to me in Somerset West. As I am writing this I still haven't received delivery and have no idea or indication from this individual on which day he will deliver.

-Bike collected on Friday 26 June 2020 in Nelspruit and was sent a Whatsapp voicenote (08:54) that the bike was collected and he was on his way back to his house.
-Last week Sunday he told me via Whatsapp "Good morning bud. Collecting a bike in the morning tomorrow and then heading your way"
-Monday I asked him via Whatsapp if he would be delivering tomorrow (Tuesday), no answer
-Tuesday phoned him repeatedly and he replies via text "Hey bud sorry I am still busy but will be in CT tomorrow. I will confirm times a little later today. Needles to say no confirmation
-Wednesday repeated phone calls to both his numbers 0825697503 & 0845427408 and both not answered (as in switched off)
-Thursday morning I called from 08h00 every half hour and he responds with " Hey D, I am safe and so is your bike. I'm busy with a road check and virus scan. I will call you ASAP".
He never called back the whole day. I kept on phoning him every half hour with no answer.

Any suggestions or help would be more than welcome!!

It makes me furious to to hear these type op stories  >:(

Seems like there some people/companies have very little to no pride in what they do.

I hope that you will receive your bike very soon and in a good condition.

Kom manne, bel hom aanhoudend l, soveel moontlik. Hy moet sy foon antwoord met die verskillende nommers.

Jy kan laat wees of probleme kry, maar daars geen verskoning om net te verdwyn nie. SÍ liewers jy wag vir 'n vol vrag voor jy ry.

Nope, he really screwed me around with a bike.

Eventually I had to go and get my bike from his house - I won't go into details, but he is not a reliable person.

he is probably busy trying to get more bikes/goods to transport so it makes the trip more profitable for him, had this happen with another bike transport company previously.

I would have no problem with something like this, so long as the guy told me upfront that he can do is for Rxxxx and will take up to two weeks or whatever to ensure a full load. Just play open cards.

My 2c, this guy deserves all the shit coming his way.

You possibly saw my comments from two years ago. At that stage he was "seriously" ill and just recovering. Now it's Corona, next week? He is lying through his teeth.

I do not know how people like that can stay in business and not give a shit about their customers concerns. Also, the total lack of communication is mind boggling, to say the least.

Hope, you get it sorted.

Yep, I also got a seriously ill story for his disappearance with my bike.

Maybe if he didn't take so much medication he wouldn't be so ill...

Horrible experience
I am utterly disgusted with your service delivery.

I contracted Brandon to transport four Harley Davidson's from Cape Town to Johannesburg.
Upon making the booking I asked Brandon if the four motorcycles would fit in his trailer and van and he confirmed that they would.
Brandon then confirmed he would collect the motorcycles on the Monday the 23rd of October.

On that Monday morning he told me that he will collect during the course of the day. At 15h00 he was still with a client in Somerset West and told me that he would collect thereafter but never arrived at the dealership.
Brandon collected the motorcycle from the dealership only  on Tuesday the 24th at 17h30 but had to go back the next day to collect documentation from the dealership.
On the morning of Wednesday the 25th I phoned Brandon only to be told that a taxi drove into him last night and that he has flown his driver to Johannesburg to fetch his other vehicle to complete the trip but to our surprise he got to the dealership a few hours later with his vehicle in perfect condition.

Upon delivery of the motorcycles we discovered that he removed the panniers to make the Harley Davidsons fit in his trailer.
These panniers wasnít covered properly and clearly not stowed away securely, they got badly scratched as they clearly got tossed around.

In addition the driver dropped one of the motorcycles during the off load session, he removed the securing strap from the stand side coursing the motorcycle to flip to the opposite side and the bike landed against the trailerís roof support bracket.
This left the motorcycles fairing with a deep scratch.

I proceeded to provide Brandon with three different quotes for the repair work only to be told that they are to expensive and that his approved repair centre will do the work for a 10th of the price.
The paint on the one Harley Davidson is very unique and I warrant you will not cost a 10th of the price.

I have since requested that Brandon  send me his Goods in Transit Policy to confirm that he is insured for damages but I am yet to receive this confirmation.

The constant lies and empty promises just keeps on going.

Gents BIG FAVOUR. Anyone willing to go and collect #justwearamask
Ok that changes the picture somewhat... :-[
Changes what?

He can still use his phone and let the guy know he is sick, waiting on tests or has confirmed covid.

Want to take bets on him refunding the money?

Ouch..... seems like his business is unable to recover. Resorting to desperate, criminal behavior will not keep him afloat but rather get him into more trouble.
