Ballpark price for a private sale?
Good condition - not excellent- with < 10000 km on it
-
R57 000 or so, think the market is tough now ? 2020 demo with 800km can be had for R66 000 with updated colours, wheels etc.

Thank you :thumleft:
Seriously thinking about one, as it looks like a worthy replacement for my Bushlander which I miss terribly on the shorter rides.

They are great bikes. I had the Rally which is a bit heavier. My biggest gripe with them is the ridiculous rear shock, way to pap for anyone outside of Asia. If possible budget for a heavier spring.

I read about the rear shocks somewhere last night. Why did you sell yours?

I saw one in FB Marketplace earlier today
2016 with 1000km on odo

I have a 2013 and love it. Only machine I currently own . Kitted it out with soft luggage screen etc. Sometimes less is more :thumleft:

Damn that looks great with the price and the extras.

Blikners geval daai XT 250 wat PC adverteer jou nie?
Dink hoe sal Dan jou like!! ;) :lol8:
-
Daai XT is nog stadiger ou Chris, 2SD se bewondering gaan nie genoeg wees om op te maak daarvoor nie

So jy reken spoed en 250 pas in dieselfde sin? :peepwall:
-
I highway cruise on mine fully loaded comfortably at 100-110kph indicated. Will maintain 100kph on a long gradual uphill without wringing its neck. Overtaking takes some planning tho.

I often look at my speedo to find myself doing those speeds anyway.

Ai Bliknêrs, ek het nou die dag myne verkoop vir R35,500 met 6,500km op. Was effe ouer model maar nog baie mooi. Dit help egter nie jou saak nie.
Koop met ‘n geruste hart, dis baie lekker fietse.
-
The L and the Rally both underrated bikes - trouble free and reliable.

Yes they cruise well on the open road, really well for a 250. The older XT and XR's are much shorter geared and not nearly as nice on road.

Ag on of those things but think if I buy a small bike again it will be a L not the Rally.
-
Used mine to the KZN Bash this weekend. Pics of my set up. What a lekker fuss free little machine. No speed demon on the tar but even with side bags and loaded top bag cruised easy at 100-110 kph on the straight and narrow. Dirt roads its a real pleasure.

Nog a pic

Nice I was thinking if I get a smaller lighter 2nd bike it would be between a CRF250L or a DR650. My XT660Z is about 40kg heavier than those two but do real well on the longer open trips.

Thank you :thumleft:

Rear suspension upgrade is easy. Fit a 15mm spacer and it is sorted.
