word on the street is that this will replace the 640. it is styled to look more like its big brother the 950.

yep, the top ones look like a rally bike, and were used in the Tunisia rally.
but the the three pics in the middle look much closer to a production model with the way the graphics are.
i'm sure they are paving the way for the production model by putting graphics like these on a rally bike.
you'll probably find the rear tanks wont make the final cut, but the front end will. it looks like the 950, but different, as you'll see car manufacturers are doing by having a "family resemblance" throughout the model line-up.

Some thing more to dream about, or maybe.....cars nearly paid, can get a second bond on the house, work longer hours......ah stick to the dreams.

KTM is launching the new 654cc (Called 690 :roll: ).
Most powerfull production single.
2007 will see it launched in the new KTM Supermoto with eventual release into Enduro and Adventure as well.
Some info:
- 3kg less than the LC4
- New clutch resulting in 1/3 less effort at the lever
- Massive increase in mid-range power
- Fewer vibrations
- Longer service intervals.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the KTM 990 a 950cc engine, just added fuel injection?

No it s a 999 cc engine in the 990

You guys can keep dreaming,there aint NO 690 adventure comming soon.KTM cant in the current economic climate launch another bike.If they did launch a 690A it would hurt the sales of the 990.The bikes in pics are just the rally bikes or a 690E with the rally kit which can be bought for 4000 euro.
