Title: Covid tests still needed for Nambia if vaccinated

Has anyone been into Namibia recently. If you have been fully vaccinated, do we still need to do Covid tests as well?

As far as I am aware... yes you still need to have a Covid test
My family has been up and down a few times the past couple of weeks and have never been asked about vaccination, only the PCR test
Seems the test result is the only requirement for entry at this stage
Also keep in mind they do have travel restrictions in place locally as well. Not sure how that impacts tourists

Not, free range for tourists once in Nam.

I am wondering if I do a pcr test in South Africa, fly to Livingstone when the test is 30 hrs old, stay a day in Livingstone and enter Namibia with the test 65 hrs old will Namibia accept the test? Or will I have to do another test n Livingstone?

The Dolf guy you phoned last week will have all the info regarding that. He told me what they had to do for Zam coming from Nam and Bots. Zim was a problem as you only had 48 hours after the last test to get to the border by road flying in not so big a problem.

What he said, but the negative PCR test must not be older than 72hours, previously it was 7 days.  :thumleft:

Came back from Nam on Friday.

They do ask if you are vaccinated, but only fill in a form. I didn’t have the proof with me and it was not really an issue.

PCR test is still the only way to enter/exit, and should not be older than 72 hours after sample was taken, not after result…
