Title: Heatshield/guard
Post by: GeenSand on September 10, 2021, 06:08:05 pm
On my 990 i suppose there needs to be some form of heatshield/guard stuck to the tank and rear side covers to protect them from the heat from the exhaust. There is only some residue of glue and some sponge like meterial.

What is the comercial name for it and where can i buy a sheet to replace the ones that was supposed to be there.

Search Thermo Tec, adhesive-backed Aluminium heat shield, by company A.T.S.

Else we can supply, from company D.R.C., pre- cut pieces.

I used 3M aluminum tape and some generic insulation material.
It held up very well
