Must say that BMW engineered it quite well using a bolt with a "clamp" so the mirror doesn't break but the bolt does. Much cheaper but due to the normal supply and demand process (apparently a lot of these are in demand :) ) these are still R160 a pop :o

Methinks it's time you got her a set of knobblies JB!

Yes always nice to lie down and pose for photos like this.
While battery acid runs out of battery.
Please remember that all BMW F650GS’s with standard battery may only fall on left-hand side.
Check battery acid level immediately after posing like this. It will cost you almost R1000.
But if you do wait and have to replace the battery go for after market. There is a battery that fits for R390+-.
So if you need it contact me at joggiej@gmail.com. My friend got one just the other day.

Boys, Boys, Boys ...... I turn my back for 5 seconds and there you go skinnering about me. :thumleft: :mwink: I am soooo proud of you all! >:D
JohnST, it was such a blast spending time with you at the training yesterday that all is forgiven. The only thing that REALLY hacks me off is that from the photo it looks as if I fell after the mud! Now that is just plain daft... I hope you didn't rust from riding on all that rain yesterday, I was soaked to the bone by the time I got home. Thankfully my butler (the one that rides the KTM) was on hand to save me from imminent hyperthermia. :peepwall: (I know I am probably overreacting, but I am a chick and I have rights.)
Hey Trailrider, you only taught me about the marbles... you never said anything about mud. Personally I blame you. :imaposer: :imaposer: By the way, at least the arse was worth seeing. >:D
And yes LeonDude, my Heidenhau's are on order with Adventurer. Once I get them there are so many places I want to ride again to see the difference they make. :thumleft:
Joggie, thanks for the help... the truely sad thing is that I learn't the battery acid trick shortly after I got my bike. As I bought it second hand it had to go for a service and the kind people who serviced it for me didn't put the overflow pipe back properly. :patch: It is now one of those little items I check when I check battery water and clean out the air filter.

 no problem..... We definitely will be back to SC - There's still a lot of riding to be done over there. Of course that the fact that someone called "Mom" stays there helps  - she gets grumpy if we don't pop in at least once a year....
-
Thankfully my butler (the one that rides the KTM) was on hand to save me from imminent hyperthermia. :peepwall:
of course dear - this way we make sure you can go through it all again.... :imaposer: :imaposer: :imaposer:

Tee hee, you are always welcome to join. I can "fight" with more than on KTM rider at a time. But that's only if you don't do your powerslide thing... THAT move intimidates me. :pot:  ;D

Actually powersliding is for posers - I'm more into waterfalls now ;D

Okay so your response begs the next question... When you say "I know", do you mean...
(a) That you admit that you only taught me about the marbles... you never said anything about mud.
(b) That you acknowledge that it is your fault and you are too blame.
(c) OR that the arse was worth seeing...
Is it just me or did a casual "I know" just create more choas than a poorly timed "I do". :ricky:

;D The rain wasn't that bothered me, it was the lightning that was striking the ground, what felt like, 20cm behind me..... and the mud was interresting on the way down.. :D
Was really lekker, I enjoyed myself properly, was doing my new aqquired tricks on the way home already, riding with my left leg on the right footpeg and doing cool moves with my free leg.... :ricky:
Besides I couldn't stay any longer it became too :3some: for me. :imaposer:

agge shame,,,,,
while everyone is debating the price of the mirror and the battery acid damage???
daar le ma se mooiste kind met haar gat in die modder,,,,wooooo hoooooo

As I saw it in slow motion, you wont believe what a moral dilemma this placed on me.... should I help.... or should I take the photo?
Well the dark side prevailed and I took a total of 6 photos first.... >:D
-
Funny how women even fall more gracefully than men. :pot:
-
Let me get this straight. This guy takes six, he said six! photographs, posts only one, and then admits to it on a public forum. And that forum being none other than the WD forum.
Ai ai ai, strafdop!
-
To the Mud Ninja!! :notworthy:
As with JohnST I also saw it all happen in slow motion - was a pretty impressive slide on that mud (hence the bike only down after the mud TG) - as I still contemplated dropping my bike and running over the mud to help TG (like my boots have better traction than my tyres!) - JohnST was there in a flash (or six) ;) :)
-
I'll take the strafdop, it was worth the action! Man she can be a stunt woman!! :D
