Kruger National Park Photographic Census
Preliminary results from the 5th Wild Dog and 3rd Cheetah Photographic Census are out and the news (at least for wild dogs) is not that good.

Northern Tuli Wild Dog Project, Botswana
Thirteen Wild Dog puppies were born in the second litter following the reintroduction of wild dogs into the Northern Tuli Game Reserve in April 2008.

KwaZulu-Natal Wild Dog Programme, Northern Zululand
Four male wild dogs from De Wildt Cheetah Centre were absorbed into the national Wild Dog metapopulation programme and will be released into Mkhuze Game Reserve once some suitable wild-caught females have been found.

Venetia Limpopo Wild Dog Project, Limpopo Province
The Venetia Pack is free-ranging once more. The release involved an adrenalin-filled entanglement with a female Cheetah who has since been fitted with a radio-collar as part of the Carnivore Census Project.
