OK, so I did not post earlier as I am missing a cable to let me download to the laptop, but I made a plan.

Then halfway through the report  I dumped it somehow!!!!!

Anyway, despite all my previous posts, I got up on time, I  fed the animals, everything was fine, plenty of time, got ready, oh kak Camel packs not filled, oh kak ice wont fit through the opening, not enough juice to get to Pinehaven, etc etc, so I got there at 7:01, not 6:40, as usual Wino was there, on time, totally relaxed, drinking coffee, talking kak to somebody. No other starters, Gideon, the 13th was Saturday :D  :D  :D .

So we hit the road at about 7:05, perfect conditions, would have been hot but there was a breeze when we stopped.
I had said ?Go West Young Man? but then left it up to somebody else to do the details (Wino) I must say at no Junction did we stop or slow, just straight through, nice work Wino.

This is long Farm Road country, it was interesting, pretty, but not something to relax on too much, there was always something to wake you up.

We stopped infrequently, no smoke breaks and no waiting for othersl :)
Sorry, the Pig is such a poser.
And the Road goes on.
My view for most of the day, when I was in range (and out of the dust) I thought more than once about the "what should I buy" posts. The TA, with Wino onboard, covers ground in a very smooth, relaxed manner, the Pig was working me out!!! A gentle pace of 100 to 120k/h, was the order of the day, the "technical bits" happened quite quickly.

In good WD style afte a few hours the GPS located a landmark.
The pics dont show it really, but the road surface was different, real hardpack with rocks and loose ball bearings style on top.
Slightly amusing when you find that you didn,t disable the ABS and overshoot Wino by 10 metres cos the ABS is stopping your brakes from working, we should take anbody who says ABS still works offroad for them, onto these surfaces, trust me there was NOTHING

A Scenic PI## Stop
(http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a236/IWelshman/DSC02182.jpg)
Just checking that rubber, front needed I fink.

No more pics, scenery was good, conditions good, pace good, the roads looked "easy" then every now and again something tricky would surface, plus the roads later in the morning were in my view trickier.

Great run Wino, thanks for planning it.

When I got home we had a little Storm, this was the little "Spruit" at the bottom of my garden.

Yeah. :(  Once a month is still going to be the norm. If I'm lucky.

Still. Could have been worse. No riding.

I think I will work on not getting so worked up and frustrated in missing rides. Would be good for my blood pressure.
