Title: KTM 690 bent brake lever
Post by: forex618 on June 11, 2010, 10:22:10 am
Got my bony back from the shop after my Rallye Raid off. Had to replace the gear lever (R800 fark) and found the brake lever twisted inwards. Q is - can it be bent back into place without breaking it?

Here's the pic:

If it's steel bend it.

If it's aluminium it's tricky. Some alloys and heat treatments thereof  can be bent, some will crack and break.

Hi J if you try to bend it will break . Remove it and hit it with a hammer on a block of wood .I have done this with leavers plenty times .
