Title: Show your paintings
Post by: Avontier on September 22, 2010, 10:07:27 am
I suppose I am artistically challenged, as I struggle to appreciate abstract paintings. I do have a weakness for a realistic painting with a bit of originality though.

These ones hang in my office.

Let's see yours!

(Sorry for the crappy cellphone pics, will take proper ones later.)

I like to paint with oxidization on copper as well , here is a sculpture that I used chemical processes to 'paint ' copper and bronze , the copper is flat 2mm plates and the bronze ( land ) is carved in wax cast in bronze then patina is applied ( oxidization ) , still have the moulds if anyone is interested in a 6m x 3m map of the world .

When I'm in the mood I "fiddle" with my photo's to get a sort of "painted" look which comes out quite nicely on canvas when printed by proffessional fine art printers with proper pigment based inks.  Sold one or two even.

Just a hobby for someone who cant paint but still likes the medium.
