Awesome what you've done to the Husky!
I bet Buks is eating his heart out when he sees this!

Well done, looks pretty neat! How effective are they at night?

RIP, :'(

Pardon the poor English!
I'm referring to the steerer shaft itself. If one look at it, its quite obvious that in the area where the neck bearings rest, the shaft is thicker, this is the area that I'm considering  have thinned down by 1mm.
I won't be touching the lenght of the shaft or the thread at all.  Make sense?

This will save plenty $ as the quote from the local Honda dealer amounts to R590,00 for the bearings and dust covers!

i have a 650, so no, i did not lower the engine!  :deal:

i got hold of bearings, but they are BTC bearings which is apparently a cheap chinese brand.  :-[ so i hope they last, but they are fitted already. paid only R125 for both.

the stock bearings are crap - ball bearings! i wanted to fit tapered roller bearings, so even though they are cheap chinese ones i still think they are better than the originals.

thanx anyway. ill keep you in mind if my cheapies dont last!  :thumleft:
KK, I am considering milling down the steering shaft to 25 mm so that one can fit a standard sealed bearing. Whats the cons of this mod? Anybody?
Thanks for the comming feedback!

Bastervoetpas will make you feel remote and very small.
Agreed, especially if its wet and completely covered by mist! A truly lonesome feeling!

Jislaaik, dit was nou n baie lekker ride! Behalwe dat ek Vrydag middag op Montagu pas amper deur n kar uitgevat is en vir die swem in die Baviaans, het die Alp goed gedoen. Lekker gewees om n hele klomp aangename honne te ontmoet. Hierdie naweek is daar baie brugge gebou!
Dankie vir die lekker RR en mooi fotos Buks, Jakkals, Mnr. Vis en al die ander wie opgelaai het.

This sort of behaviour gives gun owners a very bad rep!
I'm just glad the biker survived!!!

Buks het al geleer, hier moet jy loop soos n muis met slippers!
