General Bike Related Banter / Repairing plastic fuel tanks
« on: August 11, 2018, 11:05:21 pm »
Is it possible?
Bought a CRF450x from a guy and decided to replace the lomgrange tank with a standard tank.
Well my standard tank seems to be leaking through one of the fairing bolts?
How to I fix this?
And, I cant get the bolt out of the tank thats holding the fairing? Maybe the reason why its leaking because it was overtighned?

B.O. I remember Scott or someone had a sleeve valve engine, great design but the seals of the day couldn’t cope with it reliably. 😎

When you take it for balancing , ask them to knife edge the crank. Take the conrods and pistons with when they do the balancing let them balance the whole lot .

Dom vraag maar ek leer... When they balance the crank, do they balance it in the block or out? Is the crank spinning like "wheel balancing" or I don't understand this topic....
