He means you ar going to start farkling the bike and make it your's

That is natural offcourse yes, thought he meant upgrade bike, as I just sold my GSA and I am of the opinion that no bike is an upgrade or downgrade from another, but suited to a specific purpose. Miles of smiles :)

Collected the KLR tonight.

Test rode it yesterday and feels and sounds good.

Paid R 30k, new tyres front and back, brakes front and back, 16t front sprocket and new rear sprocket and chain.

Doohicky paid for, need to take it to get it installed.

Not a bad deal I think?

Just needs a nice new touring screen from war eagle and maybe an Alu topbox to replace the plastic one.

Clothing and Equipment / Re: "Adventure" helmet : Which one?
« on: December 14, 2017, 10:31:56 am »
I couldn't justify these helmet prices and settled on a Bell MX9 adventure.

Blind is the bell as good as the GS and Arai?
(serious question as I dont know)

They have the same ratings, build quality is excellent, Bell is a very respectable helmet maker, it has the MIPS system (may be a gimmick but its there). Very comfortable.

I could not see or feel a difference in quality.

My on road helmets are 8 - 10k helmets, so I have spent Money on Shoei Xspirit and Airoh helmets.
