Looking good there Mrs Zog!  My wife lost most of her hair late last year after being very, very sick. In rebellion against combing clumps of hair out every morning, she took the clippers we use for the dogs, and shaved her head with a no. 4 setting. Her hair has grown back since, but she likes the short look so much, she's keeping it at a no. 6 cut. It actually suits her very well. And I think the short cut suits you very well too!  :thumleft:

Thought that my personal issues didn't have anything to do with anyone else.
Too late for that now, Mr Zog!  It is exactly because this whole fred is personal, that folks care and keep on reading it. No-one here sees you as a charity case. Rather it is your willingness to struggle through and do the best for your family that resonates and inspires. Every little victory gives us all a lift, and every set-back makes the folks here just as determined as yourself to see it all through to success.

Good luck with the 2018 Xmas fund! No doubt it will happen.

Yeah, but for a new off-road bike?

don't spoil bronzy's defence dammit!
Some more defense of bronzy: I just bought a car from him (student car for my daughter). I just asked what the full on-the-road price is. He came up with the right vehicle at a good competitive price. Deal done. How he handles all the costs etc. is his business (literally).

So if you are buying, just ask the dealer/salesperson for the full, all-inclusive price. Then go shopping until you get what you want.

Nice posting!  :thumleft:

A note on the use of the word "folly" when pertaining to a military construction. It goes back to a series of coastal forts built in in Britain during the mid-late 1800s, known colloquially as Palmerston's Follies (which were indeed follies in the classic sense). However, it led to the term "folly" in the military sense being applied to many small isolated defensive constructions (forts and towers) as a noun denoting a type of construction. So it became more specific then just alluding to a particular form of foolishness, and indeed, some follies may not necessarily be a folly (and vice versa)...

Pedantic irrelevancy off.

Yip, it is special spending time like that with your kids, when you are focussed on nature and each other, with no interruptions from electronic media. My son and I just did the Ladybrand bash together, and we both enjoyed it extremely. Easy riding and lazy chats. Made me feel much more human again. Good on you for doing it, May there be many more trips!

roxenz and makslang just got home safe and sound. Rode just perfect dirt roads through the Free State on our way home. Thanks to everyone who pitched in to make it happen! Legends, every one of you.

Special thanks to Leondude, Cavegirl, Louw and Albert who made the bash last until this morning - great company.

Lekker geseil vandag.
