Looks good! You must be itching to ride it!

You have no idea.. its been a while.

Cmon then, get it done!

A mate has bought one of these that needed a bit of tidying and it did scrub up nicely. Honda quality it seems.  Looking fwd to seeing your finished product.

I think you need a bigger scoot, I had an X-Country and it was a leaker scoot but Iím only 1.73. Perhaps a X-Challenge would be better suited or even a Dakar again?

About 40 minutes. That includes a smoke and two phone calls. I didnít drill continuously. I frequently stopped for the parts to cool down. I twice sharpened the drill bit and I drilled from both sides.

Yes, that mustíve taken a fair bit of patience! And a good eye. Well done

howsit Heinrich!

Think of the gearbox as like a diff on a bakkie with prob the same amount of heat being generated in both.  as I am sure you know a diff has a breather to accommodate expanding air and oil vapours and the oil itself.  there is a breather on our diff's too if I am correct? if the pressure build is significant enough, a seal could easily pop and you could lose oil.

Anyway, not arguing, just my point of view!

keep up the good work!

The GS has almost double the power per kilogram compared to the XT. Also has better power to weight than the CRF250L not to even mention the rally. So are they overweight or under powered?

now now, lets not spoil this argument with facts!
