Whattsapp....... Share live location?

Unfortunately if you are riding "out there" all by yourself alone, you would need something like "SPOT"

So the time is right to shop an AT now! I know of two low mileage DCT models for about R160K.

Dont think you can currently get better value for money in the dualsport/adventure bike market than a new Honda Africa Twin.

At R50 000, it's a lot more affordable than the BMW (R69 300) and Kawasaki (R75 500). Looks like a lekker scoot for the commute.

Few years down the line, you want to sell the bike......................then someone will be willing to buy the G310R, but nobody would
touch that Bajaj>
Same as buying a Chinese car. It is easy to buy it, but then you are stuck with it.  Not even the dealers will trade it in.

what you save when you buy it, you loose when you want to sell.  :deal:

Mmmmm.....
I need to come up with a 'story' for SWAMBO...
1. I was at Koedoeskloof in March.
2. I have a "BMW R1150GS Owners SA" National Bash to attend in October near Prince Alfred
3. Now I need to take my XT660R  down to Koedoeskloof !!!

PLEASE give me some good "Anti-SWAMBO" arguments to us

Tell your wife there is something wrong on the internet, and you need to go down to the Cape to fix it.  :lol8:

Harold and Angie is moving on in their years.......
They wont be able to run the joint forever.

Maybe this is a blessing in disguise.
Now they can go legal and get all paperwork properly done.
One day, in future, they might want to sell the place and wont be able to do it with the new
legislation regarding buildings etc....
If they are acting within the law, the could fetch a better place in future, or even stay on the premises and sell the pub
as a running business

Delays happens in workshops.    Sometimes they get ahead of schedule, sometimes they dont.
It is the nature of the beast.

If you dont use the bike everyday, then what is an extra day waiting............ ?

Rather wait a bit extra and get a decent job done.  :thumleft:

Social media :  “stalking ground for the sanctimoniously self-righteous who love to second-guess, to leap to conclusions and be offended – worse, to be offended on behalf of others they do not even know”.    ~Stephan Fry~

Quite true, if you read some comments on this thread.  :dousing:

The drama on this thread is actually becoming more intense than the bloody stupid video itself  :imaposer: :imaposer: :imaposer: :imaposer:

The gearlever SLIGHTLY touched the crashbar and the gears could not downshift .
It was amended and it worked fine.
Real life problem. Real life solution.
It is not the end of the world.  :snorting:
This a typical social media bitch fight about a non-issue by people that have no affiliation to incident. :patch:

The rest of her story is all hype/sensation and bullshit created by dramatic staged and perfectly edited videos.  :deal:

I met this lady at Oasis on that specific day.
I would rather not waste my time doing comments about her further.

Those SW Motech crashbars are perfectly built to specification.

I'm 99,999% convinced that the gear shifter on that old XT was not in the correct position from the start and its position was amended
to fit the requirements of the previous owner, who perhaps hade long, big, short or crooked left foot perhaps.
Those crashbars can only go on one way........the perfect way.
It fits, or it doesnt.

It is unfair to making comments about something that you have no knowledge about and start slandering
the dealership.

It is really much ado about nothing  :dousing:

My 17 year old who started riding when he could walk is probably safer than the 55 year old who buys a GS oil tanker as his first bike ever.

Dis 'n feit.  :thumleft:

:bueller:

I was not always popular with the dealers the last few years when I made statements about them charging clients "on-the-road-fee" for which they
could only explain with a lame explanation.....
Always thought is was daylight robbery.

Looks like the National Credit Regulator (NCR) agree.  :deal:
