Good day, a lady friend needs assistance in the following items for her 2 bikes, not sure what vendor stocks all and what price would be acceptable. I presume the items must be fitted as well. Any help would be appreciated. She is in the Centurion area.

GS700
TT upper crash bars
TT lower crash bars
Hand guards black
LED spots
TT screen tinted

GS1200
TT upper crash bars
TT lower crash bars
LED spots

The crash bars are stainless steel, these prices must be complete including brackets etc.

PM me if you can help
Thanks

Clothing and Equipment / What is the best Boot to buy?
« on: June 25, 2008, 10:31:58 am »
So many boots out there.... :o What would be the best all rounder? I have a pair of MX W2 boots that I use on the plastic bike, great boots for eduro but not so great when on the adventure bike. Especially if you used them for De Wild on Saturday and got them properly wet and muddy, then want to do a nice breakfast run on Sunday.

Now, I need to buy new boots, but what? Something comfy for long distance travel yet with sufficiant protection for offroad use. Had a look at the Tech3 boot, not bad. But what would happen if you got stuck in the mud with those, slip and slide? On the other hand I have found some ATV boots with a hicking boot type sole, will they not hook on your pegs at in appropriate times? Where lies the compromise?

General Bike Related Banter / To buy New or second hand?
« on: May 21, 2008, 03:50:56 pm »
I am in the market for a KTM990, now here is the burning question, should I buy new or second hand? Unfortunately I missed Ratel's bike by a few days (990s for R105 sold a while ago)
Now here with the contenders, a 990 adventure 06 with all extras and 5000km on the clock for R120k or a brand new 990s from the stealers with the same extras for R144k ?

 ???  ???  ???

KTM LC4 400/610/640 & 690 / KTM 640 performance improvement?
« on: August 27, 2007, 02:31:20 pm »
Good day all, I would like to get a bit more performance from my 640 adv. At the moment it is stock and terribly slow, I'm lucky to see 140km/h and it just fades away on slight uphills. Offroad it is ok, but needs a bit more grunt.

Any suggestions will be greatly appretiated.

What pype works the best for this bike? Any other improvements that might help?
