Saturday 4 November. One night sleepover.

There is a variety of accommodation. Nice pub, restaurant and pool.

Do your own booking. Chalet, camping, whatever.

Arrive when you want ... leave when you must.

As usual, everyone on any bike welcome ... especially superior people on pigs.   :snorting:

BMW 1100/1150/ADV / Decals wanted
« on: August 24, 2015, 02:13:12 pm »
Hi all,

I replaced my rear luggage rack with a shiny new one. (The old is available for sale if anyone needs a functionally good one.)

Now I'm looking for new set of the decals below for my pig. Can anyone help with a printer that already has the specs?

I met this oomie a while ago, very modestly told me that he likes to collect classic bikes. I thought:" Yeah right, don't we all."
Man, was I wrong.

Some pictures from his website.

BMW recons that oil usage up to 20 000 kms is normal. So 12 years later, this bike is now officially run in.

Lots of googling have not resulted in any ... uhm, results.  ;D

My 'new-to-me' instruments are very clean and I want to keep them so.

Any special tricks to keeping dust out of those two?

BMW 1100/1150/ADV / GSA fuel consumption
« on: October 06, 2014, 08:10:27 am »
I was on a 4 day 2000km trippie through the Eastern Cape since Thursday last. Cruised on back roads, looking for scenic routes and pretty mountain passes. Tar all the way. (My riding partner was on an achingly pretty K1200GT.)
Did about 500/600 kms per day, and since it was a relaxed cruise we sat at around 120km/h almost all the way.

The big pig returned around 18km/l on average and sometimes even up to 19.

Consumption seems to be great when adhering to the national speed limits!
