I totally agree ;)

The spirit is awesome on every ride!!

I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of riders that stopped (because of concern or "toe word ons dors") when I went flying without kryptonite ;D

I have been following the thread and would like to add the following:

I never saw that sandpit until I was in it. After 2 guys passed me at speed visibility was down to nothing. I think the reason I went down was because I hit the sand with a closed throttle/decelerating.

The reason for that was that I saw this cloud of dust in front of me and thought that somebody went down ahead, hence closing the throttle and slowing down. Next thing I was in it and before I could react (opening the throttle and slowly accelerating through) I kissed the big round ball :'(. Wrong place at the wrong time, and still building experience and confidence.

I would love to do a sand riding "course" to get my experience/skills up and confidence back ;)

Well as everybody knows by now "I can fly". I just need to practice the landings.   :BangHead:

A big thank you to everybody who came to my assistance - especially Crazyporra, Zerk, Groenie, Mina Moo and those other crazies:  Zonkelnut, Popipants, Funacide, Welsh, Journeyman and Tonteldoos.  (Forgive me if I forgot someone - It was a bit of a blurr) :confused2:

Thank you very much Plothond. Your backup is much appreciated.  Thanks to Chris and Maryna that delivered  me and my bits and pieces to my house. ;) ;) ;)

Lessons learned:  When riding in a big group with lots of dust around, slow down or even stop if you cannot see the road ahead!!!  A sandpit appearing out of nowhere can really send you flying.

Apart from being stiff and a few bruises, I am fine.

The bike is going in for a quote tomorrow morning to be fixed up for our trip to Mozambique in three weeks.

Greetings everybody!

Some of you have already met me as "Mrs Ratel" - no more! Meet Supergirl ;D

I ride a GS 650 and have no plans to join the Darkside - yet >:D >:D I do not spend a whole lot of time at the office ,being a Rep and all, but will pop in regularly to see what everybody is up to. Some of us have to work, unlike pilots - ne Ratel ;)

Looking forward to meet you all at the Gauteng bash!!
