was sitting in front of my laptop the other day....ok was working on something else but couldn't stop noticing the great bike trips i have been on as the screensaver pics flashed across my screen

im sure from the collection of bikes and travels i have seen and heard of on this forum there are many of you that share the same experience.......so show us urs and i will show u mine

anywhere in the world or any bike in the world.....just tell us a short story when you post it too

one time we had nothing to do for the weekend in Jhb....so we took a trip down to Montagu to visit friends

when my dad got his first Harley.....he is an old biker
but when he got that Sporty we had to do a road trip and just him and i hit the road to Durbs...man it was special

I ned two pics to sum up this weekend properly.

My first "real" trip on my first "real" bike, all planned and routed by yours truly; "Duallies to Dullstroom" was based entirely on following the smallest lines we could find on Google maps & avoiding tar as much as possible, and it actually worked out really well.

It wasn't much of an adventure Per Se, but the response was good, the people who came along were really lekker, the weather was perfect, the dirt roads were brilliant, the scenery was beautiful, the bikes were reliable, the riders didn't fall over...I couldn't have asked for a better trip.

We stayed at Elandskloof Trout farm, which also holds a special place with me. I'll be doing this trip again soon...

In 1968 I left Pta to help my dad building his house in Knysna. On the way, I went through Meiringspoort. Untarred in those days. The pic was taken around Prince Alfred's pass. After Knysna, I carried on to have Xmas dinner with friends in L'Agulhas. Only fell once on that trip, when a dog ran in front of me in Agulhas! That CB77 had a propensity for ditching me when applying the front brake hard. Could never find out what was wrong - I think it was a bent frame. My first very long trip on a bike!

@Rooikat. I appreciate very much. Any more photos? Please post them. We need more photos of the original bikers and bike trips on wild dog. When biking was dangerous and nobody stocked condoms.
