Pofadder ( i think) near Darling. May also be a Cape cobra (geelslang/Koper kapel)

Glove added for scale.

And then had to make some serious plans to get my glove back while staying out of striking distance.

Ek stem ek dit is eerder n molnslang - my tuin tegnikus het juis gister een in die groente tuin gekry, so 1,5m lank en lyk dieselfde.

Het die jong luislang in die suipkrip gekry daar in die Kalahari.  Hy lÍ so net net onder die water in die skadu en wag dat die duiwe kom drink dan vat hy hulle.  Ons het hom daar in die veld gaan los maar toe was hy al bietjie sat vir in 'n sak wees.  Hy het iets gesoek waarop hy se bedonderheid op kon uithaal.  Dis 'n baie mooi slang, meeste slange is vir my pragtig.

Saw a similar snake at Karwyderskraal. It was to quick for me to take a photo, so I wondered what it was.
That's not how I understand a Rinkhals to look?
I thought a Rinkhals mostly has stripes on the underside of the neck.

Laas Saterdag die een in Weskus Nasionale Park gekry, ek hou nie van slange (lewendig) nie, maar hulle het ook hulle plek in die natuur
Nie vir die ou gevra wie en wat hy is nie
Hy was haastig toe die voertuig stop, seker so goeie 1.5 meter lank

This is a Hemachatus haemachatus commonly known as Rinkhals or Ring-necked spitting cobra,

Hulle is nie giftig nie, maar hulle byt fokken seer, ek het baie kak gesoek met hulle as n laaitie. Die bakteria en goed in die speeksel is ook nie goed nie en kan die byt wond laat ontsteek.

Ek probeer om nie een te wees wat vloek nie maar hier kan ek nie anders as om die "F" en "Mal" in dieselfde sin te gebruik nie!

Sorry, maar sovÍr ek weet is 'n Rinkhals en 'n Cobra is twee verskillende goed.
