CRF450X parts prices

I decided that my bike really needs a good overhaul and going over before I start really riding it, I don't like bikes in average condition, they must be in tip top condition, I have added the following parts so thought I would share some prices to see if anyone out there has better contacts and pricing for this kind of stuff in the future.

Prices of bike parts are going up due to exchange rates so look at the date of the post.

Are you putting in stainless steel valves?

My big gripe is not so much Honda spares prices , but availability , I required gaskets for a CRF230 - none in the country , piston circlips for CTX200 - none in the country , shims for s CRF450 , 5 different sizes - none in the country .
It is not as if any of these are special one off imports or 30 year old bikes , but the CRF230 and 450 are still current models .

Yes I was shocked at learning that Honda Pretoria did not have shims for my 450!
I get them from BikeQuip now (seeing as they carry a wide range of shims)

Don't know what the hell Honda SA is thinking!

Welcome to the wonderful world of bike dealerships, they carry very limited stock. Best to arm yourself with the part numbers before leaving to enquire about spares. But come now guys Honda's never break why would you need spares

I can understand the dealer not having many spares , but when Honda SA don't have stock
