Hi Guys

Bought a Husky 610 TE from Hennie last week , haven't ridden it much so looking to do a Zeerust trip this weekend

First thing I did was to replace the alu bash plate with a HYDE bash plate ( thanks sidetrack)

I rerouted the clutch cable , and it looks better , I still need to get wider foot pegs , a Leo Vince exhaust and better head light .

Try this for footpegs, should not be difficult to get hold of stock KTM pegs

Cool bananas, HK enjoy your new steed!
I saw a LED light that is rectangular with 9 led's and gives 1600 lumens (27W) used as spotlights on 4x4's
Maybe you could make it fit in the existing cowling.

For the moment I am running the std light, but am busy building a cowling/bikini fairing with 2 of those 27W LED muthers in, should be done soon, look at "610 custom mods" thread for pics of that project.

Ja welcome to the Husky kennel ... well we actually do not sleep in kennels ... are too wild and tough

You do not need to drop money on a LV end can. Although maybe a nice to have the standard exhaust decatted is just as good IMHO. It is then quite light and is a good extruded alu unit. You also retain that lovely H end pipe

Also while looking at pegs see if you can pick up a set of Pivot Pegz - have them now on 3 bikes and are the dogs danglers! Also while talking pegs you really must do a bolt replacement and check the flats on the contact areas of the peg mounts ... a good number of related failures due to some poor mating and fitting here ... and some of the Husky bolts are made from old Fiats!!

I agree Dom --Total waste --paid R7k for my Arrows on my one 610TE and catted the other one myself --No difference at all except --The Arrows cost big Moola --

Thanks for the info , Hennie told me you gutted the pipe on this TE to , so there is no need for a new one performance will stay the same ?

Hi Guys

Im in Zeerust just arrived now 320 km trip , on close inspection i see the baffle inside the exhaust broke of , and is loose in exhaust , can i drive back to Pretoria like this tomorrow 320 km ?

Should be no problem at all - will just rattle around. and may sound slightly noisier. I did the decat conversion on my exhaust and the rear rivets came a bit loose and when I opened it up the baffle which was spot welded in place to the end piece was also loose. Just rewelded, repacked the exhaust and rivetted back together. I think blazes did your zorst - speak to him but no biggie IMHO.
