The Flexit was designed as a high speed cruising sidecar. Trimmed correctly for your cruising speed it becomes light and actually "flies" next to the bike.

Using it on gravel would therefor have negated the object of the design. Saw it first in 1990 and was amazed by its ability. Its a thing of beauty.

My (and GSBoland's) uncle helped design the 'H' frame that connects the Flexit to the bike (He started Davey Engineering in George).
Ingenious design and having ridden in it as a young laaitie I remember it as yesterday and yes - it does feel like you are flying - especially through the twisties when the 'lean with the bike' design really come into its own.

I will also like something like this but the Ural is just too slow. I need to cruize @ 110 at least, not 80!

Agree 100% with you.  Imagine a Namibia trip of say 8 000km at 80km/h.   :eek7:  That's not to bad on the gravel, but those long streched there and back.  The sun will bake you to pieces.   :imaposer:

The 2014 URAL I have ordered has a cruising speed of 70 mph  :thumleft:. Rasputin is indeed a bit slow but boy what a ride  :ricky:
