Registered letters - legal question

The aim of a registered letter is to provide proof of delivery.  So if they send your registered letter to the PO, who then send out a notice to collect - how will they proof receipt?  There is no evidence that you received the PO notice to collect?

Well you have to sign for it when you collect it. Its proof enough to say you received it

Point is - I need to get the notice first (normal post) to go and sign for the registered letter.  How can they proof I received the notice to sign for the registered letter if its delivered via normal post?  I just ignore the notices to collect and claim I never received it.  Onus is on them to proof I received their bill.  Only way to do that is registered letter delivered and sign for at my door.

Well then they cant proove it, cos you DIDNT receive it. However you wont be receiving that important parcel you ordered either cos youre ignoring all your notices

I have all the goods I order delivered to work, so anything registered that comes to my house is most likely of an unpleasant nature, so gets ignored.

they can assume as much as they will.  When the court case come, they will not be able to proof that they notified me of their bill until the day I received summons.

KR, you must mos know when a parcel is on its way as well as the tracking number. Easy to know which notices to ignore then, not???

When your doctor send you a bill and you dont pay it and ignore it and then later you get blacklisted for it, do you ignore that too?

see fortunately I dont give a fark for blacklisting.  It does not scare me at all.  The blacklisting process is unconstitutional imo...  I just draw money from my flexi bond if i need credit

Have been known to do that yes. but mostly I am being "selective" as to what i pay.

Its a good situation to be in, unless you move and have to reapply for that bond.

Most arent lucky enough to be in that situation, so Blacklisting does worry me

Blacklisting is unconstitutional, since it does not offer you a guaranteed process to pay or defend your case.  Lots of people are not even aware that they are blacklisted for certain events.  They can't black list 2m people for etolls and expect business will take it serious ito granting credit.  So the more people who gets blacklisted - the better.  It will sommer cure this scourge of human rights abuse too.  I volunteer to get blacklisted for etolls

I thought I'd read it somewhere.... it's part of the terms and conditions which e-tagged sheep sign when they register:

"If we send a notice to you by registered post at your address, we will be allowed to
treat it as if you have received it 10 calendar days after we posted it. This means we do
not have to prove that you did receive it after 10 calendar days."
