We test fitted our new radiator covers this weekend and thank you to AntVan for the help.

We are making one small change in the form of a logo otherwise we should have it in stock before end of April.

One question do you guys prefer there to be a GS logo on it or is that just a nice to have?

Just curious, I have owned and ridden a LC since they were launched more than a year ago. Admittedly I have done some dirt roads but mostly tar and would like to understand what these radiator covers are protecting the radiators from? Fying insects? Or stones. If stones then how do they get to your radiators from your front wheel or is it from bikes roosting in front of you? I could understand iff one is doing enduro races where branches could lodge itself into the radiators but an LC not an enduro bike make

Most people would probably say for the guy riding in front of you on the dirt but saying that, some years ago I stopped at roadworks on the N1 and 3 guys pulled up on their bikes and one got hit buy a small stone on the radiator and it was pouring out. Can't remember if it was one if his buddies bike or a car that kicked up the stone. So the radiator covers probably do have it's use offroad and onroad.

Agree but the design at this late stage is not going to change. The question is only Gs logo or not.

I have a few chips on the radiator guards. Happens when riding dirt in a group or passing farmer John in his Isuzu on the R355 and sometimes on tar when stones are flying behind large trucks. Had a lot of the latter on the N1 near roadworks.

My guards have saved my radiators 3 times I guess. That's since August 2013.

I cannot see the pics, but heard a story today that BMW send a circular stating that they will not honour any warranty claims on GS's overheating with radiator protectors on, unless these protectors are from a specific manufacturer............... not sure about the reliability of this info.

I bought my GS new from BMW with Rockfox radiator guards installed as part of the deal. I think this is just a rumour.
